Not sure what carver this horse is a copy of.
This piece came with different base configurations as most
Willitts did. I have seen it with an oak music-box base and a brass clawfoot base. The piece is large, about 13"
to the top of the pole. The coin inset into the base shows only a number, but not the total run of the piece (it only says
"150" for example, not "150/2500"). The music-box on this piece plays the song "Somewhere in Time".
The average price
of this piece when new was probably $125-$200.
